Watching with interest as I have an 850 kit on order.

Dakota19250, you may not have to do these upgrades. The current versions of the 850 armor should be more accurate than my V2.

Some accuracy upgrades on the back today. d9512d2fe6f9aef294d9ca5ae13b888b.jpg
I used a slice of pipe and a circle cut from ABS sheet to make the indented circle. I couldn’t find any info on dimensions so I centered it a 4 cm from the sides.

I cut out the stepped rectangle and replaced it with a scratch built one.

After looking at reference pics I noticed that I hadn’t left much negative space around this part, so I modded my mod. 1bde32886f0b0a5a6e991518bf950880.jpg

gotta wonder if that's just an error in the pull or not....I've talked with the previous owner about this too that we both agreed the pull he got was not great. Curious to know if others had similar issues or not with theirs when they received their 850 kit. If that were the case then I better just hold onto my current forearms I printed.

850 V2 kit owner here, I agree. The details on my pull are quite... well awful. I've considered rebuilding the arm details but after some primer and Sahara Beige, they don't look too awful. Hang in there with your build and I look forward to seeing your progress.

Helmet is a cast of a Sean Fields (mark 1, I’m told) Snout rebuilt for accuracy using Dustin Madden’s technique over on 850 tips and tricks. Big thank you to Dustin!

I think Luke will be pretty happy to get another ST into the fold so looks like you're just about there.

Almost. Arms and legs are painted and weathered. Waiting on some 3D printed pieces to complete the body. Aiming to be finished for Eucon next month.

Sorry for not posting for a bit. We’re down to the wire on this build. I have just 3 more days off in which to finish before Eucon. Today I assembled belt boxes, sewed the fabric belt and made hip armor. No pics though because I’m feeling the crunch.

So, I’ve skipped ahead and am almost completely done. I need to install a lens and glue in the foam on the chest and back. Here are some pictures. d2cf2c942883be0541dfe4d9acbdb723.jpg199d4994008505f1c58ff56c92c977b1.jpg

Wow you have jumped a big step ahead.

I really liked what you did with your forearms by giving them that sharper look

I take it you decided not to replace the front abb greebles, did you speak with your GML ref this to see if your Garrison would accept that standard ? Like i said above the LMO put it down to the GML decision for their Garrison as the abb greebles are poor.
I would also look at your belt boxes again as they look bulky , maybe take a cm off the thickness and your medium box’s with the lip are not correct that should be wedged.

c8bd041e729ba5a0704edf4dce648d55.jpg

These things will be your GML’s decision with their Standards.

Did you look at the modification posts for your back armour as there are some small tweaks you can easily do to make your back armour look better and be more accurate.

I Honestly think you have done a great job and the effort you have put in with your forearms and detail in the back boxes are great. I also think with the tweaks spoke about and the easy modification posts , you could make the armour even better.

Thanks Rogue! Yes, I jumped ahead a bunch to have the suit ready for a Con last weekend. I do plan to revisit and update the ab details and a more permanent install of the lens. (Right now it’s just stuck in with 4 layers of 2-sided mounting tape.) I will definitely look into your other suggestions and update my WIP as well. However, my Garrison leadership and GML were present and wanted me to take the approval pics right then and there.
