The general shape looks ok, at least based on the "finished" photos in the link. My concern is the indented markings on the snout, forehead, and "barcode" on the back. Those should be decals, not molded into the plastic.

100%.  Make sure you take those out before you print.   And buy some decals instead.

Also, one more note, now that I'm viewing the finished photos on my desktop pc -- the indents on the right side of the back of the helmet should be about an inch long. The ones in the model look approx 1.5x too long.

There are some helmet options on thingiverse.com too, not sure how accurate they are. Here is one of them: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2551799

First post here, but I've been pouring over the topic of printed helmets lately. I'm attempting a fully 3d printed scout with the exception of soft parts of course.  Using Mr. Poopie's generously provided models for the armor. This is the model I'm considering starting with for the helmet. Has snout vents that must be edited, but the rest seems close.  I've tried without success to find any decent models on thingiverse that don't need overhauled.  Any thoughts on this one?   https://pinshape.com/items/46322-3d-printed-star-wars-imperial-scout-trooper-biker-scout-helmet

That one looks pretty decent as well. The only thing that stands out to me are (again) the indents on the right rear, they look too wide (see the photo below of the original helmet). Otherwise, yeah, the overall shape seems a-ok.

I was concerned about the indents, but I couldn't tell if they seemed off or not since I'd been staring at it for so long.  Thanks for the assessment.  I'll start with one of these and make some slight edits before printing.

Hello! I am the author of the 3D model from the first message, at the moment I'm working on changing the model so that it will pass the test. Soon I'll post a few screenshots and it would be nice if you would rate them and point out the flaws, if they will! Best regards from HaereticusProps

Hello there :)

https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/hobby-diy/other/wearable-scout-trooper-helmet-by-jesus-salmeron-3d-print-model

This is the definitive version of the biker scout helmet I made last year.

The object is raw, i only removed the supports: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lf0ESv3mclg

And this is the first version (I modeled it for casting): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RexyRQ7bK7o

What do you guys think?

Hey Jesus, I remember when you did that run of cast helmets a few years ago. Based on the models and printed representation in your link, there's not much I can say in terms of improvements -- it's a really excellent render, great work.

Hello everyone again, I'm interested in your opinion on this part

<snip>

If you look at the original helmet, you'll see that the ridges do not extend that much further past the upper trapezoid. It's only maybe 1/2"-ish.

So this the most accurate helmet to print?

Pretty much, from what I have seen. Check out this build, they used the same exact files, and looks pretty accurate.
