TB-7076 Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 To all new Lancers, please don't forget to mail me or someone of the BSN staff your "beauty shots" for the gallery once cleared for Lancer status. You invested so much labor and time in your costume to look good and to serve as an example of devoted costuming - now don't spoil your achievements and make sure you look good in the gallery as well. My general advice (as I got asked already): I'm not a specialist in photography but some things even us noobs can do to avoid emberassment or more work for the poor layouter who has to prepare the photos for the gallery (-> me ) Make pictures outside for better lighting and make use of the daylight instead of a flash. Indoor pictures often suffer from extreme contrasts and "tunnel effect" due to the flash as well as bad lighting in general. The steadier the cam the more crisp your picture and your apearance in the gallery. Best solution is a tripod or something but as most people don't pocess any you have to help yourself out or find someone who can hold things without jittering too much. American perspective just as we know it from the legion's front page rotation is optimal.
