Need help!!!

Recommended Posts

Ok all, I am going to be building a Swamp Trooper, I know that the costume belongs to the Spec Ops, but with there only being 9 swamp troopers, this question is better here, as it pertains more to the actual armor/helmet, than the build itself.

My question is this, what armor/helmet should i go with. I have about 6ft 1in and about 215lbs. I added a pic of me in my jumpsuit for reference. I need to know what armor, but more so helmet, would fit me best, i dont want to have the shrunkin head build. I believe i wear about a 7 3/4 hat if that helps. Please help me guys, i dont want to look silly in my armor!

There are a few helmet makers that accommodate folks with a larger dome -- you can PM Spike, who is a vendor on here, about one of his Altmann helmets. I know he does complete Shadow Scout as well as standard Biker Scout helmets, but I imagine you'd have to repaint 'em green if you wanted to use it for a swampy.

KS is also one of the larger helmets. You can order theirs as a kit.

SC helmets runs on the smaller size, so I wouldn't go that way in your particular case.

As for armor, the hard parts are made so they fit a wide variety of body shapes. I have SC armor, which is very popular with a lot of scouts.

You can also see how the armor types fit on various folks in the armor comparison thread here: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?/topic/17774-the-ultimate-armor-comparison-thread/

Ditto on the Spikes Altmann Helmets.  I wear the same hat size and the bucket fits with no issues.  Likewise on his armor.
