Migration and Site Outages

As we get closer to our do-or-die date, it may become necessary to take the forum down for a short period of time while we make upgrades in order to complete the migration to the new webhost. Because we are all working around our non-Star Wars lives, sometimes it cannot be done at convenient times, but whenever an opportunity presents itself.

 

One such opportunity will be tomorrow. For a short period of time on Friday afternoon (Pacific time), the forum will be down while we work on upgrading the software. The site software has not been upgraded in at least 6 years, so this process has not gone as smoothly as we would have liked. With luck on our side and the wind at the back of our speeder bikes, this time it will work.

 

Also, there are pretty big differences between IP Board 3.x and 4.x,, but the one that will become most obvious to you all is the lack of skin support on the latest IP Board. Unfortunately, all of our pretty schemes will be going away and we're going to have a more vanilla forum -- at least for the time being. We'll do what we can to give it some more Pathfinders flavor once we have migrated over to HostGator

 

So I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, or any inconveniences in the future as we work to get this Forum fully under our control again.

Lack of skin support?!?! Thats it!!! i dont wanna be here anymore!!!!! i LIVE for the pretty schemes!!!! LOL Seriously though, im sure this is for the better and will only make the forums better and more easily upgradable If i (my wife actually lol) can help in anyway, you know how to find me Mickey!
