Merlin707
Hey guys, How do you guys attach your pouches? I’m torn between: 1. Permanently attaching to the cummerbund. 2. Permanently attach to the chest Armour. 3. Just Velcro to the chest Armour. 4. Just Velcro to the cummerbund. Any advice / guidance would be greatly appreciated, and if possible could you provide pictures. Thanks.
Chopper
I recommend option 4. It provides some flexibility and adjustment. That's what I did -- I also sewed a small tab of velcro behind the pouch, so they don't flop all over the place.
BikerScout007
Velcro to the cummerbund is how I do it and I think it's the best option. When the pouches are attached to the armor, they never hang properly. They always come down at some odd angle and that's way too much for my OCD to handle! I keep the bund from slipping down by attaching velcro to the top edge of it with the corresponding hook attached to the flight suit. Also, according to our Level 2 CRL, the pouches need the appearance of being attached to the bund, so they have to be on there somehow. I'm working on a Scout kit for my son, and for his I sewed the pouches to the bund, as it's done in the film. I'm also going to do the veclro on the back to hold it to the flight suit. 762s
my pouches are sewn to the cummerbund. vest was long enough and so the cummerbund is velcrod to it.
mmmtoastyboy
I did both bund and armor but stuck with the bund. Velcro to the bund so they can come off IF I needed to wash the bund.
