Merlin707
Hey guys, Now I know a lot of you use snaps etc but can you tell me where you get them from? Found some here in the UK but they seem really crappy and don’t really snap good and requires a lot of effort to snap them together. Thanks
Chopper
The best snaps are from tandy leather. Nickel plated line 24 snaps. Not sure how available those are in the UK? Snaps are used mainly by the TK's. Less common with the scouts, but that certainly doesn't mean you can't use them. Where are you planning on using then on your scout? I’m just lookin at different ways of mounting the TD onto my belt. Ideas so far: Magnets Snaps Hooks Also for affixing my pouches to both armour and cummerbund. Gruntsky
I'd second what Chopper suggests, Tandy Leather have the hardiest snaps out there. For pouches, I'd also suggest Velcro instead or just sew the pouches to the very top of the cummerbund
Dragon_a
I use metal clips / slides to attach the TD to the belt. Easy to attach, never come loose on a troop and screen accurate.

Could you please provide pics or a link as to what you mean as I can’t picture them.
Chopper
I believe dragon_a is referring to these clips, which are attached to the detonator tube: THECLIP.COM Metal Belt Clip 661BP - Black powder coated finish, perfect belt clip for pouches, holsters, and knife sheath. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010EAQUEU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_iQ-tBbSXJD6JS You can see them attached to my det here:
