Building a Rebel Scout

Recommended Posts

My son is getting ready to build a Rebel Scout. We have already ordered the hard armor but need advice for the rest...gloves, under armor, soft parts, boots. Does it matter what the soles of the boots look like? He was looking at some "army" boots but I'm not sure the vinyl will glue properly to the boot.

Any help?

Thanks,

Lori

Hey Lori!

I always feel that when all else fails, you can't go wrong making it look like the picture:

If the Army boot has a similar sole, then you should be fine. But most of us get along with just regular hiking boots, and they are usually very affordable.

Check out the Rebels Biker Scout HQ for more tips:

The DL is spot on. The main thing is that he has a comfortable pair for his feet. Once you have the pair you like scuff them up using a bit of sandpaper then use shoo-goo to glue the vinyl to the boot. The shoo-goo works really well. I’ve had my boots for a couple of years now and they are still going strong.
