ST79211
Hi guys Need som advise here, iam going to make my own belt. Now here is the tricky part I cant seem to find nylon belt 3.5 cm belt so i bought som 3.8 cm belt. So i trim the belt to the 3.5 so it is the 7 cm, or is it acceptable if i make the belt 7,6 cm in all? If trimning, how do you guys go about it? KOtrooper
I bought a bunch of nylon wedding from strapworks.com. It's 1.5in width. Doubled up you're just about at 7.6cm. I think you're fine! Just burn/melt the ends with a lighter after you cut it otherwise it'll fray.
mr paul
The Shoretrooper belt is made from 2x 38mm Coyote Brown nylon webbing straps sewn together to make a belt 76mm wide.
NegativeEleven
Coyote brown nylon looks nothing like the CRL picture. The text of the CRL says "nylon," but the picture looks more like canvas. I'm at an army surplus store looking at coyote brown nylon belts from Rothco and they do not look like the CRL at all. Thoughts?

Thoughts? I would compare it to screen reference over the CRL. The screen used belt webbing was 38mm coyote brown. I don't know what the webbing you have found looks like so whether the colour varies from supplier to supplier that could be also be a factor. You can buy the correct webbing from the UK. They ship overseas. The correct webbing is pictured below.

CaptainCunning
The link on one of the "where to find" posts for the coyote brown webbing is shows that the product is out of stock, but I was wondering if this is a suitable replacement, given that it's UK based and purports to be sourced from a supplier to the British MoD. https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1224360910/coyote-brown-38mm-15-webbing-uk-woven?click_key=b8149b5b095425d513bd05516a8823a3e8353e15%3A1224360910&click_sum=4495a075&external_collection=
NegativeEleven
I bought this to use on mine. Amazon link ... but don't rely on me for approval. I got the suit near completion then sold it because it was too uncomfortable to wear compared to my Biker Scout. It was comparable in color to the boots I had bought and the pants I made from a pair of XXL scrubs. It's a good bit darker than my ammo pouch, but those can vary anyway. And I know I painted that shoulder wrong, you don't need to point it out.
