ScottF Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Is it a good idea to paint something like plasti-dip in the inside of the armor and helmet? Would it help reinforce it at all or a waste of time? SC armor. Scott Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dart Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 SC is usually pretty good, and the Plasti-Dip really won't do much, to be honest. A garrison mate used truck bed liner on the inside of his Shadow Stormtrooper armour and it's solid. Some paint the inside of the helmet near the ears black but it's not required. 1

SC armor. I like black plasti-dip interior for the helmet. I recently did this for my TK helmet and I am pleased with how it came out. But really it's just for your own desire as nobody but you and other costumers you show it to will see it. I like a clean, tidy look. 2
Stroker Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Sc armor is tough! Don't know about the helmet. I've never had my hands on one. I wouldn't worry about enforcing the rest of it. 2
Chopper Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 I've had my hands on an SC helmet and personally, I don't think you'll need to reinforce it for strength. In terms of blacking out the insides, the screen used helmets just put black gaffers tape on the inside, behind the ears. 2
