ScottF
Hello, Thinking about the SC armor and helmet. Is it a good idea to have SC assemble the helmet? That is the only part I don't think that I can do on my own. Thanks, Scott
BikerScout007
Hello, Thinking about the SC armor and helmet. Is it a good idea to have SC assemble the helmet? That is the only part I don't think that I can do on my own. Thanks, Scott If you want to pay the money then do it! One less thing to worry about. But I think you'll surprise yourself at what you are capable of if you give yourself the chance. It's not so bad if you just take it slow, measure twice, cut once and reach out to others that have been there if you need help. We are always here with advice and I know you have a great ART in Michigan that you can reach out to as well.

stasz
Hi Scott, Another Michigan Scout here. I second 007. I never thought I could do something like this until I dug in, leaned hard on this great resource at bs.n., and picked the brains of other troopers. If you're on Facebook, search for Great Lakes Garrison MI.S.T. That is our Advance Recon Team (Michigan Scout collective). I'll add ya. Good luck and don't hesitate to holler with any questions! Chopper
Hello! Former long-time Michigan resident here. Welcome aboard! As the others have said, you might want to think about trying your hand at assembling the helmet. It's not that bad. When I first started, I didn't think that I'd be able to build my own boots, but then I did and it's a huge confidence booster. Give us a shout if you need any help or guidance. Stay cool in fashionable Ferndale.

ScottF
Hello, Trying to navigate the forum for boot sourcing. It looks like something I can tackle alright, just not sure which boots to buy as a base. Thanks, Scott Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chopper
This is a boot that a lot of us use and has the proper sole color. Tjeccles
Are you looking to have someone make your boots or do them yourself?
ScottF
Was going to try it myself, but open to finished boots I promise to not be too needy 😬 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tjeccles
I'm planning on doing boots myself and had the same issue finding the right boots in my size. You can always get tan acrylic paint to use on the soles. That what I did.
ScottF
Any brand of boot works as long as the sole is close or do I have to Dremel them to match for approval (that you know of)? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tjeccles
I believe the soles need to be cut out just to achieve Lancer status
