Tjeccles
Because the boots I had gotten had a two toned color sole, I got some tan acrylic paint. I currently have 3 coats on. Is this the right color?
BikerScout007
The original boots seem to have a bit more of an orange hue to them http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?app=gallery&image=2509

The CRL does say boot sole is tan

The CRL does say boot sole is tan Yes we are all scouring ebay trying to get a pair I'm not saying you need those exact boots, I'm just saying the originals were a little more orange in color. If the CRL says tan, and you used tan, you should be fine. The GML will see that and will have to agree. But that means we are going to have to come up with a better description for the boot color, because tan isn't quite right!
Tjeccles
Agreed, the color looks like a mix of brown and orange.

Tjeccles
I think it's more of a dull bronze. Wheat is more of a light yellowish brown.
