Tank Topper Question

Finally getting around to assembling my SC biker armor.

I have a question on the tank topper. The directions I got said attach with a 1/8 rivet.

Im planning on doing that but was curious if I should put some ca glue down as well prior to attaching it via rivet?

I glued my topper first, then added the rivet and washer.
