sjsobota
I have glasses, and can't wear contacts...and I'm blind as a bat without some sort of correction. I've tried my helmet on several times, and within minutes my glasses steam up. Has anyone used any sort of a fan set up in their helmet? If so, how did it work? Thanks! Frank75139
While I haven’t trooped in my scout helmet I have two fans in my TK helmet and it helps a lot. I also find if I don’t cover my nose with the balaclava (think that’s the spelling) it helps as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Shortstack
Hi Shannon! I dont use fans in my biker scout. however I myself use fans in my jawa and sandtrooper. (I have glasses myself so understand the struggle!) My setup is 5v squirrel fan, shrink tubing, and 9v battery switch and a solder iron. Simply connect red wire with red and black with black and you have a switch to easily turn on and off. Shrink tubing goes on before you attach the 2 wires and it covers the wiring and makes it look pretty sharp
Dart
I have a fan in mine. Way back when, I got a Moncal hollow snout, so I drilled a hole in my faceplate and snout and mounted a squirrel fan that blows upwards. Works a treat. Dunno what I'll do in my new helmet, but I'll definitely use a fan.
