Hot toys rocks with details!

Ordered mine from them yesterday, they said ETA - Slept 2019...

Anyway they showed all, what I needed to finalize my models!

Gonna print revised set within a week, guys! :)

The details in those Hot Toys pix are amazing. They are great to show all the 30 points of articulation each figure has, but I would love to see a few shots of the back and that TD.

Here’s a pic of the back of the hot toys. If we still need the back for the CRL. It is a pretty detailed pic. The only piece that you can’t see clearly is the kidney piece.

What is written on the CRL for the boots? I’ve found multiple different versions of boots( some cheap, some expensive) that look to have elements of “English riding boots†but I haven’t found a confirmation for a boot. The only elements that I saw were the outside lip near the knee is necessary and the shape of the bottom. Most of the back and all the laces or something are cover by the calf armor and boots cover.

I’m also kinda being selfish since I’m trying to acquire parts before my armor comes.

We thought they looked like English riding boots with Spanish cut tops. It seems a lot of the boot gets covered by the armor, plus the toe seems to be painted white.

Like with any of our CRLs, we will most likely only demand total screen accuracy for a Level 2. So a faux leather boot would be acceptable for Level 1.

So spanish cut isn't necessary?

Might have misread it, but just want to make sure.

I have english riding boots already from a prior unfinished costume, and am trying to avoid expense if i can lol

I really can't say at this time. The CRL will need to go through the whole Legion approval process before we can decide what is Level 1 and what is Level 2. Legion may recommend we hold Spanish cut for Level 2, and they may not. If you can afford Spanish cut, I would say go for it!

I can almost guarantee they (we) will recommend placing it on lvl 2. Level 1 is just for seeking basic approval regarding the appearance of being screen used, where as lvl 2 and up are meant to be more exacting to the actual materials used. Also keep in mind that they will be looking more towards proportions of fit as opposed to exact measurements, so please try to keep those to a minimum.

Interesting to see the boot armor has a piece of elastic underneath it. As well as the black straps on the calves.

Is it a cloth type or elastic on the chest as well?

Amazing shots!

That does look like elastic on the chest plate.

It does on the toy. On the promo shot of the actor in the suit it looks like cotton webbing

I am not sure if this is a stupid question but is the ribbed areas around the sides under the armor fabric or hard armor? In some of the pictures, it looks like it may have some flex to it and may not be as rigid. More like a cummerbund.

Not a stupid question at all. On the toy it sure seems like there is a ribbed cummerbund under the armor! Especially here:

So is it official that we Patrol Troopers will have "TB" designations along with Scouts?

Nothing is official, we don't even have a CRL yet! I'm going to fight for PT but it's ultimately up to the Legion.
