Aliaz Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 And the info from the visual guide/art book supports the idea that it belongs here. 3
BikerScout007 Posted May 30, 2018 Author Posted May 30, 2018 Have any other detachments shown any interest? The only ones I could see making any kind of case would be FISD and the feeling on there seems to be that this is a Pathfinder. FISD did at first but pretty sure they aren't interested anymore. I'm guessing after seeing Solo and realizing the PT is in it for about 2.5 seconds, no one will object to us having it. But being a veteran of the Shoretrooper wars, I don't want to take anything for granted! 3
FIVE Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 I just wanted this all typed as copy-and-pastable text... The speeder cop is a bit like the scout trooper, with britches instead of armored thighs. The white stripe on the britches were very "motorbike cop." And obviuosly, they make it easier for him to sit on the motorbike as well. The chest plate is all new. The back lower bit is part of the Death Trooper armor, except it's white. 1
Reideemer Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 I spoke with the LMO team earlier, and this was the direction I was given regarding what will need to be done in order to get this approved. My comments are in Red 1. Review it carefully (the CRL) and ensure the references are adequate. Also ensure that what they are describing is in reference. (with this in mind, we will need better descriptions of a few parts) 2. They have the access and ability to create a CRL page on the wiki. Ask them if they have done that yet, or if they feel unable to. (LMK if you are having trouble here) 3. Once the CRL is in the wiki and is in a finished state, complete with pictures, gallery, etc. Then send the URL to lmo@501st.com for Todd's (LMO team lead) official approval and for others on the team to review it. (the more eyes we get on it, the easier it is to find things we may have missed or be otherwise biased to) 4. Make any adjustments required. 5. Once Todd green stamps it, then I do the database work. 6. Once that is done, announce on official forum thread. 7. Then announce to DL Lets get this thing uploaded and better pictures/details worked out so we can get it approved! 3
BikerScout007 Posted May 31, 2018 Author Posted May 31, 2018 Thanks Chris! I'll start transferring to the Wiki. We are having trouble with some bits, mainly because we have no good images of the back of the trooper. Even the film doesn't have much help here. There is a detailed toy coming out from Bandai that may fill in the rest. Or hopefully some set photos or promotional material comes to light Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
BikerScout007 Posted May 31, 2018 Author Posted May 31, 2018 Help us SH Figuarts! You're our only hope Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk 2
Reideemer Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 I received this message today from a LMO friend... https://m.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=1999539597027773&id=1940676496247417 1
BikerScout007 Posted June 1, 2018 Author Posted June 1, 2018 I received this message today from a LMO friend... https://m.facebook.c...940676496247417 Yeah I've been in close communication with those folks! They have the same issue we have -- there are no good pics of the back of the PT. We are all waiting for the SHF toy to come out.... 1
Grunt Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Yeah I've been in close communication with those folks! They have the same issue we have -- there are no good pics of the back of the PT. We are all waiting for the SHF toy to come out.... Found a screenshot of the back..or at least some of it.. 1
BikerScout007 Posted June 6, 2018 Author Posted June 6, 2018 Found a screenshot of the back..or at least some of it.. Yeah we've seen that one since the trailer. It does show the Shoretrooper back plate so we got all that, but nothing on the TD or belt. The Hasbro toy seems based off a prototype of the Patrol Trooper that didn't make the final cut, so I wouldn't call that reliable. I'm hoping the SHF toy really fills in the blanks.
Grunt Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Gotcha gotcha...i must have missed that in an earlier post lol 1
BikerScout007 Posted June 7, 2018 Author Posted June 7, 2018 Gotcha gotcha...i must have missed that in an earlier post lol All good, my dude! I appreciate the help. We need all the eyes on this thing that we can get!
Rogue1138 Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Lego Patrol Trooper makes it almost look like a TLJ FOTK TD. While it’s far from screen accuracy, it’s better than the 12†figure. 1
Tjeccles Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 So since Lego probably has the license, does this make it canon?
Reideemer Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 I dont think anything Lego could ever be considered cannon...even if they do have the license 2
Tjeccles Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 I dont think anything Lego could ever be considered cannon...even if they do have the licenseTrue but Lego games are great
Grunt Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 The OCD Props kit i saw was close...but wanna wait till a little more about specs is found...checking for more references today 2
Dart Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 The OCD Props kit i saw was close...but wanna wait till a little more about specs is found...checking for more references today It's not a bad idea to wait a bit. I know there's at least 1 or 2 more people working on armour, so there will be more options if you can hang on for a bit. 1
Rogue1138 Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 OCD is the most accurate I’ve seen so far from the front. ArmoryShop’s shins aren’t correct. Just need to verify the back side and it could easily be used to start a CRL. Though I have no authority to say so. Just a fan of the armor. 😂
dodger0729 Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 I’m going to preface this with the fact that I’ve only built clones and intend on the patrol trooper being my first pathfinder armor but is the holster on OCD props completely accurate? The patrol trooper looks to have some kydex white material around the hold out blaster. I also could be grasping at straws but it looks like a custom design. I also don’t know if this helps at all but this is the back of the patrol trooper model from revell. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
