From this pic it's clearly that visor is green, not black (currently stated).

Based on these images, the black is not gloss. It's a matte or satin black. Just my two cents.

Agreed. That would be Satin. Flat/matte black would not have any sheen to it.

Also, wording right now says that armor pieces can be gloss, semi-gloss, or slightly weathered. Those pix above of that bucket show that white is most definitely gloss white. Not sure if the movie will give us more references for the rest of the armor pieces, but the bucket really shines, even with the weathering.

I guess I should probably introduce myself. I'm a Tampa Bay TK and on the FISD staff, but just fell in love with the IPT when I saw the 12" toy at Target. Bought it and ended up ordering an Mk.2 bucket from Denis. I saw the progress on the CRL and would love to help out. While on a couple flights this morning, I reviewed the draft CRL with pix I have on my phone. I'll work up some additional language to include to what is there already when I get a break from work.

Thanks for the edits, guys! I will incorporate them.

Just FYI, a lot of this is filler language I took from other CRLs, so some of it won't be accurate. But I think it's a lot easier to revise pre-existing language than it is to try to write something from scratch.

So I had a couple hour lay-over in Philly last night and came up with these comments. I know these may change when we get more and better pictures of the screen worn costumes, but this is what I have come up with from looking at the LFL bucket and the limited photos available.

Deletions are in red. Additions are in green. My comments are in orange italics.

Helmet

  • Helmet is two-toned - Black and White. The dome, visor and face plate are gloss white, along with the round portion of the ear and the portion of the tubes running from just past the foremost tube stripe to the front of the helmet. The rest of the helmet is gloss black.
  • The four (4) Traps (trapezoids on dome of helmet) and two (2) tears (colored areas adjacent to the lens ridge) are gray.
  • There are outlined in a fine black line.
  • The two (2) Rrear traps and tears have vertical black lines.
  • Lens is one piece, flat material, green in color and sufficiently dark enough to obscure the costumer's eyes.
  • Front of dome has a white, curved visor that protrudes past the level of the faceplate
  • Visor has black trim that extends back to the rear of the side traps.
  • Ears are connected by three rivets with semi-rounded heads. Top two rivets are white Bottom rivet is black. (Need to confirm number when better pix are available)
  • The “ear†bars area is gray and have three or four two bumps and are gray or painted gray. The front bump is narrow and is painted black and the rear bump is wider and remains gray
  • Frown is painted gray and the gray does not leave the teeth area. Eight total teeth on the frown are cut out.
  • Tube stripes are recessed and number 12 per tube. Flat bottom of recesses are painted white.
  • Two vent tubes in black rubber, or look like black rubber, span each side of the face plate
  • Chin greeblie is similar to Death Trooper and painted black
  • Aerators/Hovi mix mic tips are black or painted black with a fine mesh screen and white on the inside.

Balaclava

  • A balaclava is a black head sock/hood that is worn under the helmet and is used primarily to hide any view of the wearer's skin and/or facial hair.

Jacket

  • Black leather or faux leather
  • Elbow and wrist area has raised, gasket-like ridges

Pants

  • Black, loose-fitting, cotton type material
  • White narrow vertical stripe trim on the outside of each leg.

Shoulder Armor

  • Gloss white, semi-gloss or lightly weathered
  • The front edge has a graduated step.
  • The back edge has a diagonal rather than defined corner.
  • Shallow grooves are present in a pattern matching the photo.
  • Shoulder bells may be slightly weathered.

Bicep Armor

  • Gloss white, semi-gloss or lightly weathered.
  • Bicep armor is half round, covering the outside of the upper arm
  • Black elastic is used to secure the armor around upper arm.

Forearm Armor

  • Gloss white, semi-gloss or lightly weathered.
  • Forearm armor is half round, covering the outside of the lower arm
  • Black elastic is used to secure the armor around forearm.

Gloves/Handplates

  • Gloves are black with white palm, thumb and forefinger.
  • Gloves extend underneath the forearm.
  • White area is made from leather or leather-like material

Handplates (This should be a separate line item for future updates)

  • Handplates are rigid square boxes and the hand plates roughly pentagonal in shape and are mounted securely over the back of the glove (These really look like ANH TK hand plates!)

Optional Accessories

  • EC-17 Holdout Blaster
  • Baton

Hopefully, these comments will help make the CRL more clear and detailed and less vague and open for mis-interpretation.

DK Books released Solo-The Official Guide (ISBN-13: 978-1465466907). Maybe the team can find some more reference material in there on this trooper.

There is also "The Art of Solo"

I might hit a bookstore this weekend and see if these are worth buying!

Here are pictures of the text. At least it is confirmed that it is more related to the Scout!

Right outta the “Art of Solo†book.. Inspired by our Scout from the beginning. They even drew them as TBs and “Scout Trooper†is even in the writeup.

There’s a SH Figuarts figure coming out and they tend to be pretty accurate for a toy. Might be the only way to see the rear. Lego fig makes it look like there’s a FO style TF but I can’t verify with any pics yet.

First off, let me apologize for missing this topic for so long. My current job has me in a vault that does not allow transmitters or other electronics with outside contact, and my weekends/evenings have been spent getting unpacked and dealing with family.

All that aside, you guys have made some incredible progress on this CRL! I will be in contact with the rest of the LMO team to see what else we will need to get it approved and ready for action in the legion!

Has anyone created a page on the 501st wiki yet for this CRL?
Not yet! I didn't want to be presumptive about which Detachment this was going to.

For now, lets play under the assumption that its going to join us in the pathfinders and work on getting the CRL knocked out so we can submit it for approval ;)

If something DOES come up down the line that we would be contending for this costume, we will address it later. For now, I personally think pathfinders is a PERFECT fit

Have any other detachments shown any interest? The only ones I could see making any kind of case would be FISD and the feeling on there seems to be that this is a Pathfinder.
