pgerard Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 CRL specifically states that there are 6 stitch lines which create 5 raised ribs. I've seen costumes with 6 raised sections and in fact the cummerbund I purchase has 6 raised sections. Has this been recently revised? Just want to be correct.

If you want to be correct, follow the current CRL. I believe the change was made a few years ago based on new evidence. For awhile, it was optional, but it was changed to 5 raised ribs. 1
Retrofire Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Please listen to Mickey and follow the CRL. I'm a GML and I just had to fail a candidate with six ribs than the five called out. It will save you having to rework it later. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk 1
pgerard Posted April 10, 2018 Author Posted April 10, 2018 Thanks for the input. I unfortunately purchased the soft goods for me and my daughter several years ago. I finished her costume, got tied up on other projects and recently went back to finish mine. Time to order a new one.

pgerard Posted April 27, 2018 Author Posted April 27, 2018 So I did a silly thing. In one of the celebration events in Orlando they had a biker scout on display from the LFL archives. The cummerbund has 5 stitches and appears to terminate at the belt. The diaper appears to be completely separate. Looking through one of my costuming books, I found the same appearance. The cumberbund stops at the belt. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Chopper Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Having a separate bund and cod is correct and the bund does indeed stop at the belt! Here's a photo from one of the screen used scout costumes, where you can see it pretty clearly 2

pgerard Posted April 28, 2018 Author Posted April 28, 2018 Just finished my costume and got caught on the cumberbund Where you been buddy, we've been talking about that for YEARS over here Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
BikerScout007 Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 It's an easy thing to get caught on. I've been trying my darnedest to stamp out some of the bad habits from over the years.
Rebel Scum Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 I attach the belt to the cumberbun so it always stays in place.
