VisariMaul
Hey guys I have recently started my first build and will post my progress and pics here =D Any advice and criticism would be super helpful. I received my SC armour yesterday and started with hot gluing the bicep pieces together and making the Thermal Detonator. The Thermal Detonator has the cable tie through the centre and behind the tubing and it has two plastic belt clips which are cable tied to the tube also. Hopefully within the next week i will be able to get to a sewing machine and start getting all the elastic and Velcro sorted so i can start trial fitting it all. Thanks For Your Time

VisariMaul
Last Friday my Helmet (Altmans) arrived i was super excited and it didn't disappoint. I was looking through some threads over the past few weeks and found Shada's WIP and got the idea on how to put a hard hat liner into the helmet through that thread. I went down to Bunnings (Local Hardware store) and picked up a simple cheap hardhat. Did a simple rough cut to get a better idea of how much plastic i could remove but still keep the main contact points in place for the insert, i decided i would only use 4 points instead of 6 so just using the front and back 2 not really needing the middle ones that way i could cut more plastic away to get a little flexibility when putting it into the helmet I ended up with something like this Then i did a few test fittings using bluetac and decided to attatch it all using velcro so i can adjust it and remove it easily put the velco onto the insert and into the helmet were i found contact was made. I am super happy with the end result it holds the helmet in place very well and still gives great movement. looking back i probably could have adjusted it to be abit more shallow in the helmet so my head doesnt hit the top but its not a big deal. Its such a great piece really brings everything together.

VisariMaul
Ive finished my build off now and hopefully going to submit some photos tomorrow afternoon . But ill keep going with photos of how i did things so a small update today. I got my boots and gloves from IB and i was lucky enough to get in on a group order to save some cash. The boots are great quality and feel pretty comfortable as well, they are a snug fit for me because i got some abnormal size calf muscles =D. The gloves are a great fit and i am sure will feel even better once i have worn them in a little bit.
VisariMaul
Back at it again with another build update today just focused on my Bund and flight suite. I enlisted the help of my Mother to make the soft parts of this costume, she was super excited and happy to help so that was good. She had a big roll of material that was perfect for the cummerbund and pouches. Following all the information i could find using the CRL we did up the measurements and cut some fabric to test a fit, I have quite a short torso so my bund looks pretty small when not on my body but having all the costume on it seems to fit just above my belt and enough under my chest plate to cover the top tabs of the pouches. To fill the pockets out i bought some off cut foam from Clark Rubber(local foam rubber and pool place) and used a stanley knife to cut a rough shape and size then used the Dremel to round the edges and shape it a little more. Now a photo of it on over the flight suit ( i stand awkward in photos ) and the back Pretty happy with the end result looks cool imo and fits well.
