Welcome to the 2018-2019 Term

Hello to all Pathfinders and prospective Pathfinders!

Today is the first day of the new term. I want to thank you for entrusting me with leading this Detachment for the next year. I will do my best to continue making this the best Detachment in the Legion.

To get down to brass tacks, in case you didn't know, we lost our dear XO and webmaster, Jim Griffin, this past January. It was a stunning blow to say the least. I had chatted with him only days before and just found it hard to believe that someone could be taken so quickly when everything seemed fine.

Jim was in the middle of site maintenance at the time of his passing and unfortunately, certain privileges were temporarily taken away from us that we have not yet been able to restore. Nor have we been able to access Jim's computer so far. Marcel, our long-time Detachment Leader and our Webmaster Cheyenne have been working with Jim's family to try to resolve this situation on that end.

Steve Leahy, former Spec Ops DL, has been working with the server company to get us access. Why Steve? Because Jim was webmaster for both us and Spec Ops and we share a server with them.

While strides have been made, we do not yet have full access to either this forum or the Facebook page.

So if you are wondering, "why haven't I been made a full Pathfinder?", "why haven't I received my trooping award?" or "why hasn't my account been verified yet?" this is why. You'll notice I don't have the Detachment Leader tag yet. It's all part of the same issue, one which we are diligently working on and hope to have resolved soon.

In the meantime, we are open for business and will continue to offer help to any and all who managed to slip in the door before we lost the ability to verify accounts. For you folks still waiting to be verified, I ask for your patience while we work through this, and please feel free to read through our forums even if you can't post just yet.

Though I can't assign him his badge at this time, Andry Bobyk ("Dart") is now our Detachment XO. Feel free to reach out to either one of us if you have any further questions.

Scout or Die

Mickey

PS: It's not all doom and gloom. We got a great merch run coming up, so stay tuned!

Hi folks! Just thought I'd chime in here as well.

I'll be working closely with Mickey this term to help this detachment in whatever way I can.

As stated above, if you have any issues that you feel need mine or Mickey's attention, feel free to hit me up and I'll see what I can do to help you out.

I know it's only the first day, but I think we both appreciate your patience and I'm sure we'll get this all sorted soon!

Cheers,

Andry
