Wtf tank attachment/acceptable question

Recommended Posts

Trying to wrap my head around how to attach the tank for the wtf scout armor I have. It doesn't seem to have that much of an extra on the bottom like some other of the scouts I've seen. I have seen other builds with a rivet on the bottom of the tank but mine doesn't have enough room for a rivet. I have some idea of how I want to attach the tank to the back armor but I'm not 100% sure if it would be acceptable if I went ahead and did it. I haven't been able to find any other wtf scout builds so I figure it wouldn't hurt to ask. Hopefully the pictures come up ok.

im not working on a wtf's but, it should be very similar.

the tank depth from back of armor to highest part is roughly 4" and the small humps on the side are roughly 2" from armor to top of them.

you will need to cut you tank down.

i propped mine in similar fashion to your pictures ... hope it gives you some idea of what you need to do.

worse case send wtf a message on facebook and see what they say or if they have a template to use.

Do like they did in the films and strap it with elastic. You can see an example in my build thread:
