Wolf's First TB

Been at a standstill for several weeks waiting on armor. Looks like it'll be quite some time before the gears grind in my favor, so I'm just playing around with everything else in the meantime. At 762s request, I'm going to dress out tonight in everything I have so far, which should be most of the components except armor and helmet.

We'll see how jacked up I am. Lol

So while I wait for armor from Deutschland, let's play with what I do have. Here's some pre-pre-pre-early looks. Here's what I see right off the bat with my inexperienced eye...

Improves: clips still on gloves, pant legs too baggy, right boot crushing my bad foot (long story), and I have no idea how high to ride the bund yet, which means I have to adjust the cod

Sustains: the vest is very comfortable, the 46-Long Red Kap suit is very comfortable above the legs (happy I got the size right), gloves fit great (if a little warm)

Lay it on me, experts. What's first?e349278c4ee4f2943bde8c7eb80f6cfb.jpg340ceb686b6c7fd038e64f9dcf23a7b9.jpg8d891bdebdc9881294f1f3fc4f3da5e0.jpg9b03fcdbcdd0f285cbf8e340c9f910ba.jpgedcfc6b91e634c6e53b38aaa4339de4d.jpg

Looking good, looking good, future scout. Just a few pointers --

I like the fit of your bund. That height looks pretty much dead on. It might need to come up a bit on your body once you figure in proper placement of your armor and belt, but that's nothing to worry about right now.

You cod should also come up a bit slightly, as it should sit generally flat-ish on the front of your body and not curve under you. Some stiffener either inside the cod, or behind it should help that out, as well as avoid the cod crunchy effect. You can use buckram, volara foam, or yoga mat material. All produce a similar effect.

You might want to think about using stirrups or boot blousers to keep your trouser legs tucked.

Here's a question for you -- are the sleeves on your flak vest ribbed? I can't see it in the photos and it might be the light. [EDIT: Nevermind, I see them in your earlier photos.]

Overall though, you're looking good. Just keep doing your thing and you'll be ready to submit in no time. :)

Good feedback, thanks. I'm actually thinking about getting the legs of the suit tailored to present a more form-fitting look. Those Red Kap suits have straight stovepipe legs. I actually have the pant legs tucked all the way down into boot as far as they will go, wrapped and secured around my ankles, and they still pour out of the tops of the boots. My mountain troll body fits well in the size 46-Long suit, but the only downside is the excess material in the legs. I'm gonna hafta trim some of it down and add stirrups possibly. In the interim, I could fold or roll up the hems at the bottom and try to spoof out some of the excess, but my seamstress hasnt seen me in a while, so I'll swing by her shop. Lol

You can always try pegging your jeans, 90s style, until you get the stirrups sewn in :)

But seriously, you're doing great. Give us a shout when you're ready to show off more progress!

Looking good! Hard to tell without armor, but you will likely need to pull the bund up a bit to sit right with the chest. And you can loosen the strap on the cod piece a bit so it's not pulling as much.

Can't wait to see you all geared up!
