tidalforce
I think my main issue is with the thigh boxes. How far should they sit below the belt? Also I'm struggling with how to connect them to the back of the belt (I sourced most of this out as I don't have access to a sewing machine). Does it matter where it connects to the belt (assuming anywhere as long as the thermal det covers it up)? Any suggestions for this would be appreciated. Chef
The boxes are about the right height. Maybe a touch high but nothing to worry about. Ideally they should connect to the main belt in roughly the same place as where the corners of the main thermal detonator box are if you get my meaning. Attaching them can be as simple as a couple of hand stitches just to keep them secure. I've seen them glued, poppered and riveted in my time. tidalforce
Other than dropping the thigh boxes, anything else that will keep me from getting approved?
Digger
Looking good! 1. I think the upper arm armors are on the wrong arm , the little circles (on the big black square) should be closest towards the front side. 2. the chest and back armors have sharp corners below the armpits. You could sand it with some sandpaper to make those corners a bit round. Just a little bit. They're slightly rounded in the movies and sharp corners can get stuck and break armor. 3. Are you sure those pouches are attached well enough? there's some threads showing that makes me i wonder if they will survive a day out trooping. Tank top is not visible on pictures, Helmet seems very nice, hard to tell. (I'm no expert)
tidalforce
Wow, you definitely have a great eye for detail. I'll mark the inside of the upper arms so I don't make that mistake again. Great tip on sanding down the edges (they've definitely caught on stuff already). The pouches should be good (Velcrod to the inside of the chest armor) . I think the threads are just loose left overs that I can clean up.
