After researching for hours upon hours and deciding to build a Kashyyyk trooper, I've made a game plan for how I'm going to assemble the armor. I was planning on getting the military DPM suit first, then dying it brown. Then find get some suitable boots and gloves to modify. Here, is where I've run into a roadblock. The only accurate boots seem to be the discontinued Kenneth Cole Pit Crew boot. Is there any accurate substitutes that would suffice and are passable?

In my opinion, while the grooves on the tread work really well, there's not a lot of arch to get the big arch shape, as per the screen accurate version. I will say up front though, the screen accurate one would be flat out impossible to wear, as it's completely CGI. Generally just try and find some form of military style tan/beige boot (or work boot) , preferably with a decent arch in it, and dremel out the arch to accentuate it and the side of the tread for accuracy. And ffs don't paint them white like I did. The CRL picture is wrong. Bottom line is do your best, the perfectly screen accurate boot doesn't actually exist.
