How far down should the thigh box hang?

How far down should the thigh box hang? I am making my belt and am wondering approximately where I should put the rivets on the straps to the thigh box. Anyone have any pictures I can take a look at? Thanks!

The boxes should be 1 to 2 inches from the belt. These might help

Sorry to hijack this thread. How are the belts attached in the back?

Depends on how you wish to do it.

 

If you get them in exactly the right position the best thing to do is to sew them in place.

 

But I like to add a little patch of velcro to the ends of mine and then 'stick' them in on the belt join. (which is also velcro). They are then adjustable.

 

I've also seen people glue or rivet them. But just be aware there should be no visible rivet on the belt so if you use this method make sure it is hidden behind the Thermal Detonator body.
