Cummerbund and pouches material

I'm going out today to buy material to make my cummerbund and pouches (got a sweet coupon that expires today lol). On the CRL it just says that the cummerbund is a heavy cotton fabric and it doesn't say anything about the material for the pouches. Any advice on what material is best?

I use the same for both, a heavy weight COTTON drill or twill
