Thermal Det hose length and color?

Hi,

I have 2 questions aboutv the detonator.

1) what is the length?

2) what exact color it shoukd be. I have seen some that are flat grey, some black and some an off white.

The TD tube color should be grey. The best color match I've found is Testors Navy Aggressor Grey, but many folks just use grey primer.

 

Length can vary significantly according to how wide your waist is, but generally the TD width should approximate what's in the image below.

So there should be a small gap between the hard belt and the detonator's end, showing roughly 1 to 2inch belt strap.

Here’s my aft end. Do a few dry fits to size it to you.

I think the key is to size it to you. It shouldn't be ridiculously long, but try to keep it in the same proportions as the screenshot above. That's really the best guide you have.
