mr paul
Just the best! Can't wait to get my straps and buckles, Paul. I don't want to step on any toes, but Paul's build has to become the example on the CRL....it is nearly perfect. If there was ever a level 3 of the Shoretrooper, this would have to qualify..no? Thanks Bradberry00

mr paul
I definitely prefer this lighter magazine pouch. It looks less vintage. This looks to be the lighter tan pouch hanging from a grunt in the R1 Visual Guide. You can see it's colour in comparison to the captain's mag pouch standing behind him. And so does the one on bicep boy page 132.

mr paul
See where this ends up. Hopefully not in the bin. I am very happy with the shape on top. You can see how more streamlined it is compared to the BSP original beside it. It will need securing well and some tweaking here and there. making the studs tomorrow and remounting the straps as well.
mr paul
Thank you Arturo for this comparison shot. There is still a whole bunch wrong with my shin but I am very pleased the sniper plate is now not obviously wrong.
mr paul
Play time! made a master and I am experimenting with some press moulds to see if I can make the 8 studs for the sniper plate. That worked.

mr paul
Braces have arrived.
mr paul
Both of the tops of the shins have been resized and reshaped. The right leg still needs some refinement. Need to add the 2 large studs to the right as well. The studs are a lot more accurate than the previous set and a lot smaller. Total repaint coming up and hopefully they should appear a lot more convincing on the leg.
mr paul
Not 100% accurate but 100% improvement on the previous set up. A lot more in proportion to the rest of the shin and all of the studs both left and right side have been sculpted from scratch and cast in PU. Both of the tops of the shins have been completely resculpted or rebuilt then mounted on to the existing BSP ABS parts.
mr paul
Shins. Bastards. They will do for now. I will have to do a full dress up to see if they are looking less bulky than before. Fingers crossed. The plates on the front are more angular and less soft which is a good thing. The 2 studs on the left may be a little too low so might need adjustment. mr paul
Something I have missed but is now added to my kit is this sloping angle to the top corner of the long box. Its quite clever as its presence removes the risk of this corner being broken off when being articulated and it would allow some sideways movement from the long box when it is pushed forward. This detail is consistent across the ST, TK, AC-ACT and Tanker.
mr paul
He is back on the full mannequin for the time being. Should have an updated TD and pringle can for him soon.
mr paul
Side by side with a screen used suit. Shoulder straps and buckles looking on point.
mr paul
Should be receiving these soon. Look forward to getting these upgrades on my kit. These should be pretty much sized correctly to their screen used counterparts.

mr paul
Finished the TD and pringle can. These upgrades have really sorted out the proportions of the belt elements and spacing of the individual parts. Once again thanks to Germain and Luke. The oiler pouch just overlaps the belt box. Everything in its place. Lovely.
mr paul
Here are my sketches and dimensions for the TD and pringle can. These are not confirmed however this is what seems to look good and works with my kit.
FarEast
Paul, just want to thank you for taking the time and the effort to log your build - It's really helping me with mine!
mr paul
Some cool pictures of a troop I was at from the weekend along with fellow members of Reaper Squad. I was really pleased with how my costume held up over the 6 hours without anything falling off or coming adrift. I did not overheat at all and the costume as a whole is very comfortable. The Troopacoola fan kit in the helmet worked very effectively and made the Anovos helmet brilliant to wear.
mr paul
Some more shots of my current armour. This is the with the new TD, hip armour and mag pouch. I am really happy with the way things are looking proportionately and shape wise. Especially the armoured skirt. I am offering updated belt box kits again and this time with the webbing slot already present to save on work for the the builder.
