Chopper
Is that a SC belt? One of the older ones that came in three pieces? You'll need to join the three sections together. I can't tell from the photo quality, but what are those two rivet-looking things on the front of the belt? Pandatrooper has some photos in his build thread that cover putting the belt together. Check it here: http://forum.bikersc...opic=9781&st=40 If you can, better photos would help us lot for additional comments.
St jimmy
Yes it is those are rivets I was gonna paint white im no good with a heat gun like paratroopers build so I tried riveting a 2 inch white fabric to the back but the rivets wouldn't hold them together so I just got glued the fabric to the belt pieces and I was gonna sew some Velcro to the back to bring the strip of fabric together like a belt should I try heat gunning the belt edges to glue it like in the photos of panda troopers or leave it as is Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J320A using Tapatalk
Kosejonas
Three pieces are a pain in the a** I would contact Jeff from SC, and probably buy one of his newer belts They are one piece and you don't have to do anything else then rivet the soft belt to the actual plastic belt. But that's just my opinion, since I also are really bad with heat gun
Chopper
You'd have to verify with your GML, but I'm not sure if you could get approved with two rivets on the front of the belt like that. Kosejonas has a point, it might be easier and less of a headache to get one of the newer, one-piece, SC belts. One additional tip -- when I attached the webbing on the back of hte belt, I put a bunch of velcro on the inside and then attached and riveted the webbing that way. It makes the belt a lot sturdier and avoids having the single rivet on the sides as the only load bearing part. I can take photos when I get home, if it helps. Good luck with your build!
jyjellyfish77
I have the three piece belt and it works fine. Just used the instructions he send and place the two rivets connecting the side pieces. It has plenty of flex. The straps won't be acceptable connecting it like you have. BikerScout007
That belt as-is is not going to clear basic. The rivets in the front disqualify it. the belt should only have two visible rivets, one on each side, in the back to hold the nylon webbing to the plastic belt. You just need to overlap the joins and E6000 them together. It works just fine. Then you can use some caulk to fill in the seam if you wish to go for Lancer.
