3m helmet bolt

So everything is finished and I have been approved. I'm ready to try for lancer status, but need to know if the bolt on my helmet has to be indented or can it be flat? Any of you Lancers out there let me know as the CRL doesn't clearly state that. If it does need to have the indent, where can I get a replacement bolt?

Thanks!

the crl does state ..

for 501st approval:

~ "replace stock bolts with flat-disc "elevator" bolts"

level 2:

~ "Gray 3M bolts or replicas of in the helmet. (Visible bolt head diameter of 22mm)"

~ "Replace stock bolts and use correct flat bolt head or real 3M bolt."

your bolts look like the rounded black type

I don't think those will fly for Lancer sir. You can find the 3M bolts in the Trade Forum from KW designs. The current ones you are sporting are fine for basic but they look black rather than the light grey of the required 3M bolts and don't have quite the right shape. I would recommend against getting them via Amazon as those bolts are usually the upgraded type and they won't match. If you are in proximity to a weld supply store you can always check there just in the event they might have some older stock.

It has to be concave. Try these:

Thanks for the comments. They are the grey color required, but the lighting was wrong. I have already ordered the correct replacement pair that are concave and look forward to submitting my kit for lancer approval as soon as possible. Thanks to this forum and the awesome people on here that help us be the best we can be.
