Digger Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Hey there troops, i stumbled upon a video review of the gloves and there is explained how to measure your hand size properly to get the right wampa wear gloves. Now on a normal video such as this: https://www.leatherg...m/np/sizing.htm (as shown at 0:25 seconds), you just go around your hand and read where the tape hits full circle. In this particular WW review, the guy shows how he measures his hand and he measures full circle + a bit from side of hand to his palm! at 12:30 of this vid this seems odd, but then at 13:55 - 14:05 he shows it's because normal gloves are different from his WW. If i measure normally i get at least one size smaller than if i measure the way as in the review. , What is your thought on this? are WW gloves just really small?
Mr.Mike Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 I thought it was kind of clunky too. I don't remember what number size I ordered, I think I used his method and it worked out. That said, I wear a LARGE Mechanix brand glove comfortably and have an EXTRA LARGE Wampa glove. Its ever so slightly snug around the base of my fingers but it seems to be breaking in fine (I have been taking them on motorcycle rides). I don't know if you have Mechanix brand work gloves in the Netherlands but I would imagine you do. Hope that helps. 2
762s Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 i went with a size larger as everyone suggested in other threads .. the fit is good. like mr.mike said "its ever so slightly snug" 1
stasz Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 I used the wrap around method WW recommends, and went with an XL. I later picked up a pair of L. They are both comfortable and I switch between them, wearing the L in winter, as they are more snug and warmer. Otherwise, I prefer the XL for my fit. They are longer too, so it helps with keeping the forearm armor out of the gloves. I don't know if this helps much, but here's a picture measuring across the palm of an XL. (I wear an L in TruFit leather work gloves). Sent from my LG-LS993 using Tapatalk 1

rawktrooper Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 I thought WampaWear was banned from selling to the Legion? I know he was kicked out of the legion a while back due to some shady activity and theft of other suppliers supplies and information. I guess its technically not selling TO the legion if they have a website and people go there to buy their product. Does the Pathfinders detachment have a position on this vendor?
Retrofire Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 I’ve never had a problem with this vendor. I purchased my gloves and recently my ISB officer belt from Wampa. Shipping was fast and the product is well made. They only thing we recommend is to go a size up on your gloves as they tend to run small. 2
gotbluemilk Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 I just received gloves and I would agree they run small. Luckily I was between sizes so the Large are snug but not terribly tight.

If it’s a bit too tight some of the members have pulled the lining out and trimmed it off. Comfort should be paramount as you’ll be wearing these on long troops. Just an option sir. 1
Wildcards Rex Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 I got Large gloves a couple weeks ago and wish I had purchased XL. Even after measuring my hand "correctly" I still wish I had gone with XL because I was in between sizes as well. I feel like their gloves run small. 1
