Which Blue Paint?

Hey Fellow Troopers,

 

Which blue is everyone using for the blue paint? I am doing a squad leader. Is there a Montana paint that is recommended? I am using Sierra Biege and Yellow Cab. Will weather with my air brush.

 

Just need to know the right blue. Thanks everyone!

My understanding is that the color match to the screen used Halford's (UK-based auto parts retailer) spray paint is available in the US from different retailers. I found mine through www.paintscratch.com. I ordered the 1980 Ford Fiesta Paint: Light Blue TO/XSC-1401A touchup spray can. I hope this helps you.

I went with Montana Gold Himalayas for my Squad Leader. To me the MG Everest they offer is too dark. Just my opinion tho. Screen used color was Ford Nordic Blue...the Himalayas is almost identical.

I see that the red is Halfords "Toyota Red 3E5". Is there a Montana Gold that is close? Was looking at "Shock Red". Thanks!

I used shock red. The blue changes in all lighting settings and weathering. I went with Mt. Everest because... I liked it more.

The correct blue is ford Nordic blue , Himalaya blue is very close, however the magic ingredient to get the correct blue grey colour is the final added layer of grey ageing spray , this light spray changed the whole way the blue looks
