Cummerbund and attaching codpiece to vest

Hi there,

I've read a load about having a separate codpiece which is attached to the flak vest. Since almost all images are photobucket and now offline, does anyone have pictures that show how everything is attached and where? Thank you.

This an older picture I have, I've since brought the cod up more. But it gives you an idea of how the set up works. The cod piece is sewn to the inside of the flak vest. I then have Velcro on the chest area of the flak vest and the top inside of the cummerbund and that keeps the cummerbund in place.

I can post pictures when I get back to the house, but mine is set up slightly differently -- I have my velcro strips on the outside of the flak vest and my cod just sticks on the front. This also helps to mask any gap that pops up between your bund and belt when you're moving around.

More pictures would be cool, thanks. So it's basically sewn to the vest in the front and the webbing attaches with velcro in the back of the vest?

Yeah, I have a velcro tab on the end of my elastic strap that attaches to a piece on the back of the vest.

Here's my rig. Not much different from everyone else's, except my cod sits outside the vest.

My kit does have about 100 lbs of velcro on it -- the armpit level stuff is for the bund and the piece on the front of the cod itself is to hold up the belt. None of it is visible when everything is worn together.

Hope we've been helpful.
