Debateing on Helmet and Armor

Currently looking at different helmet and armor.

 

Others in my garrison have SC in both. Like SC and Chefs, but was wondering about Moncal. Heard mixed about service, orders and deliveries. Anyone what to way in?

The SC helmet tends to run on the small and narrow size. His armor is pretty popular (I have a set myself) and he has top notch service.

Definitely check out the Armor Comparison thread, if I do say so myself!

 

MonCal's wait times generally rule them out when I advise people on armors. It's a shame because they are one of the more accurate sets out there.

i can speak on the sc helmet .. my experience

 

i got a ready made black biker scout helmet from sc

 

~ nice price

~ lightweight

~ very nice padding and very comfortable

 

~ plastic seemed to thin for my liking

~ the visor/face plate was warped

~ the 2 piece helmet had a visible open seam

~ rear vents where not defined

 

 

sold the helmet as the warp and the open seam on the helmet was not to my liking.

some people may be okay with the cons i listed though.

 

and sure, some modifications on a few of the cons i listed could be fixed ..

for me though, i spend good money on a ready made helmet .. i shouldnt have to go in and rebuild it!

Have checked out the Ultimate Armor Comparison thread for sure. Good comparison among them all. Not looking for total accuracy, although nice but going into this to cheer up the kids and for other events.

 

Have only felt and seen the SC helmet and armor in person. Yes it was on the thin side, but the other members didn't mind it. Like it for the weight, durability though is in question.

 

Also read the Moncal thread, which brought up my question. His helmet and armor are nice.

 

Anyone else have a comment?

Good choice on the SC. I just received my kit, and was blown away at both the care of packaging and quality of the pulls.
