This build is my first, I'm looking forward to everyone's feedback. The goal is a weathered Lancer Scout in the end. I'll be working as fast as my budget will allow. I'll try to post pictures as often as possible. Once the project is complete I'll probably move on to some props like a long range weapon and electrobinoculars or something. I love all things Star Wars so the sky is the limit. Thanks for following along Mike Updated 8-28-
Mr.Mike
My gloves came in the mail yesterday and are awesome!! I started in on the flight suit tonight..... and promptly miffed it up. I got a little excited with the seam ripper. DSC_0061 DSC_0002
Mr.Mike
Is my suede... suede enough? it was advertised as 2 oz black pig split suede leather but its not super fuzzy.... below is a picture showing front and back compared to the suede on the wampa gloves DSC_0004
Retrofire
It looks suede enough to me. Mine isn't real fuzzy either so that looks fine. Gotta watch that seam ripper especially when it comes to your fingers! That's an easy fix so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Those pockets are toughies so take your time so you don't give yourself any additional repair work.
M.J
HI ya Mike, We know that as Pig skin here, I work with it quite a bit, when sewing make sure you use a Leather needle, pig skin will tear easy once started its not like cow leather very different. Looks good. With your little misshape just had sewn it, black on black no one is going to see it.
