WIP on a ST in WA

crabra trooper

Recommended Posts

I'm going to post my progress on this Shoretrooper armor from Jim Tripon. Hopefully I can get some feedback and help.

I have started on the straps, following a youtubers style, minus some modifications since I can't sew. I figured stretchy fastener wouldn't be too important critical?

1. Any recommendations on whether I should paint the blue now or if it's not too important even after gluing buckles etc. I think I will be going with the squad leader, since the armor Kama isn't acceptable for the grunt?

2. Should I be drilling into this fiberglass at all? I attached my thermal detonator to the back belt with two screws but it cracked when I used a screw that was too large

As your doing the squad leader doing the blue now is no issue Just make sure you Mark up correctly where your buckles and blue meet.

If your screwing into fiberglass , drill a hole first that is slightly smaller than the screw , if you try and screw straight into it without doing that first it will crack
