cheesewhoopy
I feel like I've been posting a lot on here lately, I swear I have a life! Lol anyway I've just had some free time the past few days so I've been addressing some things that bothered me on my scout. I kept noticing that when I move around you'd see too much gap from the bottom of my bund and the top of my belt. This is the solution I came up with. I'm sure there's something else that would work, but I just put this together. I made a small metal bracket and attached a magnet to it, then attached that dead center at the bottom of the bund. I also attached a magnet inside the belt dead center. And voilà ! It's sturdy, so it keeps the belt perfectly in place right at the bottom of the bund without any gap or overlap. M.J
HI ya Aaron I think I commented on another thread you started. I did mention to watch out your bun can be pulled up. My only suggestion could it of been that little bit longer? it would still be sitting on your belt or just under it. Like I said before hand we never ever noticed in the movie so it was subtle. Great idea with the strap and magnet though..... For example Boushh had a straps from her chest plates to her cummberbun this is clearly seen, in the movie. Yours isn't and it may pull in the middle, give it a troop and see how you go, though I think making your bun a little longer might fix your issue. Your shape is different to the scout next to you, build to your shape not to the mannequin.

If I made the bund any longer what ends up happening is it catches the top of the belt or slips under it and then starts to round making me look like I have a pot belly, which I don't like at all. I like it to remain as flat as possible. It could pull in the middle as you mentioned. I ran around the house a bit to test and didn't run into any issues, but I'll have to wait until a troop to really know. Also the photo I posted is on me not a mannequin. I'm wearing the belt higher so it looks different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
M.J
Aaron oh sorry I meant the mannequin on the display with the original movie costume. Just noticed a little more, your code piece were does it sit? Mine is a two piece as well, and my code piece goes up the middle behind the bun. Are you able to stick the bun down with the code piece so it doesnt flare up. In the movie you can see the code piece so no black showing This is my first one, made a few more since then...though it should give you the idea

I could move it to the front of the vest, but I just thought that looked funky. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
M.J
See how you go bringing it forward. You never know it might fix it. Good luck
