Gruntsky
So I'm about to start work on my riding patch and hoped to get some feedback on my pattern: I've used this picture as a reference for the back: Thanks!
Kosejonas
I don't quite understand this post to be honest hehe. Are you planing on using the fabric from those pants for your riding patches? The riding patch must be Suede (Suede is a leather type with napped finish). But it looks like the pattern is a bit wide. I would probably try to cut it a few inches in, so it matches your reference picture Keep up the good work buddy

Gruntsky
I wish I'd thought of the idea, but I just borrowed it from other build threads!
BikerScout007
Looks pretty good! you might want to bring the fronts in a little bit
M.J
Hi ya Jake, The front of the patches have more of a curve near the end towards the knee, also they don't cover more than half the width of the pants, better to be less in that one than more if you get my drift. Jake if you use the Suede from Spotlight fold (iron) and then sew. Good luck With this photo its on a mannequin, the knee armour is sitting a tad high compared to the others [
Gruntsky
Thanks MJ, I've added a curve at the bottom of the patches. I'm friends with the owner at my local leather shop so he gave me a good deal on a big piece of suede, so I have more than enough to do my flap and riding patch! I'll take them in a little bit so they aren't so wide, thanks for the advice and help guys.
