TB-74259 Requesting Lancer Status (APPROVED)

Recommended Posts

ITEM #3 of 6:

- The vest sleeves are too long by about an inch. When you shorten them the upper arm armor should come up as well.

ITEM #4 of 6:

- The bund sits too high. It should end about in the middle of the chest/back armor strap

NOTE: This issue will be addressed when a new batch of pictures in full costume are taken.

ITEM #5 of 6:

- One drop box strap is bunched in belt slots. I would recommend widening the slot.

NOTE: This issue has already been addressed. Please take note of the marked improvement of the first submitted picture vs. the improved strap (slot was actually widened). Thank you.

ITEM #6 of 6:

- The upper arm armors should face to the sides

NOTE: This issue will be addressed when a new batch of pictures in full costume are taken.

ADDITIONAL ITEM #1 of 4:

- The elastic leg strap sits much too low. It should sit about the height of the arch of the cod piece (please see ref picture)

NOTE: This is as much higher I got the strap to go. Again, I'm a short trooper with short legs = shorter coverage.

ADDITIONAL ITEM #2 of 4:

- The color of the TD tube looks almost white or a very very light grey. I would recommend using a darker (middle grey) color for it.

ADDITIONAL ITEM #3 of 4:

- The stitiching on the back on the one boot looks awfully black but I’d let that pass as weathering ;-)

NOTE: This picture was taken September of 2016. Yes sir, the stitching was white. This is real-world weathering. ;)

ADDITIONAL ITEM #4 of 4:

- The cod piece itself looks pretty good but the arch stitiching should be (much) lower (please see reference picture)

UDPATED PICTURE: (08.28.17)

This is as low as this short trooper can bring the arch down. Thanks.

Ricky,

it has been a pleasure reviewing your application. As I said in the beginning, your documentation of the process and the detailed pictures made our job a heck lot easier and enjoyable.

That said, I am happy to congratulate you on achieving Lancer status!

Jim will make sure you'll get your badge and make the official announcement. Please send your action picture to Cheyenne (Forest Ranger) and we'll get you added to the wall.

Now get on your speeder bike and report for duty!

Cheers

Oh wow!!!!!!! What a way to wake up on a Sunday. :D

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Strider and the rest of the Review Team!!!!!!!

Achieving costume excellence, laboring on it myself, and representing the characters well are the

things I obsessed about since I joined the 501st.

Like so many, to be an approved Biker Scout of the Legion is already a huge personal achievement in itself.

Who wouldn't want to be one of the coolest, if not arguably the coolest-looking Imperial warrior of the Empire?

Being a Lancer has been one of the most intimidating, tough, and challenging approval processes in this organization.

To deserve it -- You. Really. Have. To. Earn. It!

It is now my humble pleasure and privilege to join the ranks of the few.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
