762s
so, ive been starting to rework this dp helmet but, im running into some areas that im not to sure about i have looked at pics from all over for comparison and even here in the forum but, the forums pics for specs are deleted and or not showing so, first is the ears and visor .. at what distance do you start to see the ears? for me at about 6' i get this view of the ears: How far apart are the visor fins? ~from nose or center of helmet to each visor Im at 7inches wide with the bottom of the helmet .. is this to big/small? Now, i have a flare/warp issue with the side bottom of the mask .. what this profile supposed to look like? ~ right side goes in and out left side is somewhat straight and the actually face mask cheek area detail --- how wide are the flares here? i trimmed a little bit off them to get the visor to sit correctly underneath these areas -- matches more like what i see in the original helmet from starwarshelmets.com and lastly for the helmet .. what with this main helmet eyebrow coming into view of the lens area? is this normal? Now, has anyone worked with this helmet material before? what should/could i use to skim coat this helmet? i removed the pop rivets .. need to fill them and smooth out some small heat warps as well add the ridges on the inside of the visor edges .. heck i even want to add the small patch to the inside top of the visor where the two side where joined .. as seen in the orginal helmet as well, i want to stiffen this rubber type plastic up to prevent future warping and was thinking a thin layer or two of fiberglass on the inside might work once i have the helmet form back in shape....??? so, would normal bondo -- fiberglass resin work ? i obviously dont want the material i use to pop off the helmet .. i have alot of experience with bondo/fiberglass and im not sure these products are a good choice for this rubber type plastic .. so any experienced help with that would help me alot. thanks in advance for any help with this rework. They have ended photo hosting services unless you pay them $400 a year. Which means years and years of threads using pictures on Photobucket are now without images.
