Hello all. I'm currently building a scout trooper. A tried finding everywhere for a good pattern for the bund but no luck.

Found this one online but cannot find a good resolution one. Does anyone have a good template or this image saved in High res

Looking for patterns for the bund, cod, and pouches.

This pattern isn't quite right though. It has too many vertical lines in the center (there should be only 6) and many of us are not attaching the codpiece to the bund any more but making it a separate piece that attaches to the vest, as was done in the movie

This! Also gives it that floating look.

Also the height is WAY off. Our further appraisals of the cummerbund, based on the Costumes book and Gino's scout, puts the cummerbund height somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 to 9 inches. We have really been getting away from the old style 501st bund that looked more like a tube top than a cummerbund.

Now this height measurement can vary based on the trooper (the bund should run from just under the chest armor to the top of the belt), but 8 to 9 inches is a much better starting place than 12 inches.

That's what we're here for!

My best advice for you is to not look at other Legion member's costumes for example. Look at the movie or the Costumes book!

Mine sets at 8.5" tall. My first bund was crazy long! When it's too long it just don't work! No way around it. Totally throws the costume off.

Albie a little tip, have your belt and chest piece finished so you can accurately measure the height of the bun, saves you redoing after finishing your build. With the width around your mid drift measure with the thickness of what your going to have under it, not a thin tshirt :).

are the Scout pouches the same as the Snowtrooper ones? If not does anyone have a pattern for these? Thanks for the help!

IIRC, the picked had a pretty good template from Studio Creations. There's plenty of info on their site that I'm taking to heart. My build is still in the planning stages (getting there kiddo's Christmas presents taken care of has been first priority), but for us first timers that seems to be a good place to go.
