Skithiryx Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Hello Everyone I am Patrick currently Active Duty Navy and Deployed. I have been trying to contact several vendors that have been suggested, but have failed to get responses. I am looking to buy a suit from ground up but have seen several of you all with different pieces from different vendors. Why is this? I have looked up the different qualities but am still unsure what is the best for the best price. And really what the prices are because none of the vendors are answering me. Finally I am also a amateur body builder so I am much larger in the chest and smaller in the waist/ Stomach. I assumed a Scout Trooper suit would better flatter that body type via looks than storm trooper suit. (+I am a bigger fan of Scout Troopers) 2
BikerScout007 Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Hey Patrick! We mix and match because some armor makers do a better job with some pieces rather than others. It is very common to mix and match helmets and armors. Also, some vendors are faster and more reliable than others, and they tend to get more business. You can take a look at this thread for comparison photos of the major armor builders vs. the Scout armor from the movie. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=17774 I wouldn't worry too much about the armor when it comes to your chest. The real place that may cause issues is with your soft goods, such as the vest and the cummerbund. That you will have to work out when you give your measurements to the soft goods maker you commission Welcome to the Pathfinders! 2

Skithiryx Posted July 8, 2017 Author Posted July 8, 2017 I looked at your post earlier 007, unfortunately the pictures attached to it do not populate on my military computers. Is there easy links to look up some of these companies or individuals that make these products? And what is the best way to contact these people about prices for their products. As none of them generally post immediate prices. I have also seen these other vendors in personels build lists: RedKap, Wampa Wear, DVH, Anirak, Smitty, Hyperfirm.

Sorry to hear that, buddy, I will shoot you a PM with some info. Also, since you are in Virginia, I would hit up your local ART for help in your Garrison. Here's the Point of Contact info: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showuser=74798 Send Alex a message and he can give you more localized help!
