pean12 Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 I don't know if this has been discussed elsewhere (apologies if it has) but is it possible for a BARC to be Death Star White? Not asking if it'll be 501st canon. I've just been reading Vol 9 of the Clone Wars comic trade paperback and there appears to be BARC troopers in plain white - kinda like a precursor to our ROTJ Scout Trooper. I know comics take certain liberties but thought it would be interesting to see a Barc in white next to a Scout.

There was a picture with diffrent clones in it and the BARC was all white. The picture was in INSIDER. Im sure that posting and picture are still here on the boards somewhere. My guess is Mad or TB-1019 will find it and post it here. Right guys?
TB-7076 Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 I have those comics too. But imo they feel wrong somehow, mainly because they use CT armor. Here is the comic version: the SW Insider illustration
pean12 Posted June 27, 2007 Author Posted June 27, 2007 Is it just me or does the Insider illustration make the BARC look "meaner"? I also noticed that the illustrator added some details to the helmet that does not look like the screen BARC.
TB-7076 Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Yes the Insider Barc has a moe geometric look. Lacking an untextured render of the BARC as seen for the GM on the sw.com gallery it cannot be said for sure if the mesh also features some of the details like the vent slots above the lens and the detailed shapes around the snout. But I think it's more certain that this is either an early concept illustration or completley made up by an artist outside of lfl. If there is a mention of the artist or source inside the article that would help but I haven't seen a complete scan yet.
