New to the Scene (WIP)

Recommended Posts

Just picked up my armor today! icon_bikerscout.gif

I do have quite a few questions though haha, I'll list them below

1. What kind of white paint would work best for the resin helmet?

2. What tools are going to help me the most here that I should gather?

3. What kind of gray/black paint would work best for the resin greeblies

4. Any other tips and advice you guys could provide.

5. Is there a store any of you could recommend for tools and supplies (example: foam for inside the helmet for fitting and comfort)

6. I'd like to set up a microphone and speaker, could use recommendations.

Can't wait to get started. Thanks!

Hi ya Austin.

I wont be able to answer all your questions though I can help with a few

Tools: Sand paper, a Dremel, hand rivet gun, heat gun and Glue! Make sure you use safety equipment.

Paint: Unsure with the correct shades though I used a Grey and Basic Black, make sure they are water proof!

Also you can buy the add on stickers for the helmets.

Inside Helmets: We have used hard hat plastic lining, and in another Foam, and in another pre-formed foam from SC, Yes we have 3 Scouts in the house.

You will need to have some sewing done, this will be for ribbing on the drop boxes and the belt.

Tip, Before trimming, mark your cut off point, the Dremel will give you a kick back if you haven't used one before so watch out for that it doesn't damage your kit. Always measure then Measure again before cutting, once cut you cannot add.

Good luck.
