ggriffaw
I'm interested in a Shoretrooper Helmet Kit for display purposes. What are your thoughts on the various kits that are available? It looks like some don't have the black trim at the bottom of the lens. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
Work
The most accurate sculpt would be Anovos. Followed by KW and BSP though BSP is missing the black trim.

I own several Anovos helmets and am generally satisfied with them. However the Shoretrooper isn't weathered enough in my opinion. Unfortunately the type of weathering I want pretty much requires a complete repaint. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk

Especially for the price. But if you're going for the full on accurate paint job, the inaccuracies on the other helmets may bug you enough that repainting the Anovos may be worth while to you. Elysia_1
Yeah, dunno if he's still making them or not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Strange. I haven't seen or heard about him making them... It's not even on his website or Facebook page. I'll have to ask him. I own and use his Movie Style Clone Trooper armor. Best I've ever seen. So if he makes the ShoreTrooper helmet, I know where I'll be getting mine from. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

I wish Anovos offered a kit or less finished version. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk

ggriffaw
It's on the end off my WIP http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=17070&st=20 Your repainted Anovos looks great. The streaking is a little different approach and makes sense. Have you seen any screen used ones with that look or was that a personal choice? Did the new sticker match the dimensions of the Anovos? Where did you get it? The cost is the main thing holding me back from repainting an Anovos. That's why I wish they offered a kit or less finished version meant for end user finishing. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk Thanks , The way I weathered it was from personal experience when serving with the army in tropical conditions. hot and dirty with tropical rain storms used to cause that sort of streaking on our kit and transport , with sand always getting everywhere. The red Scarif emblem is painted on using a stencil and is the same size as the original , which is 3 cm.

Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk Here's my Anovos before and after weathering. I used brown acrylic paint and Windex then smudged some graphite around the edges. A quick matte clear enamel to seal it and it matches my armor very well! The Anovos paint is slightly darker than the Sahara Beige but with weathering you won't notice. This was much easier than repainting the entire helmet.
