I dont have an unlimited budget so I found this seller. Says its 501st approved. Is he legit? Does it look recasted? I know helmet looks a bit sloppy but the rest of the armour looks ok for an untrimmed eye. Thinking of buying another helmet anyways or reheat this and mod it. I guess there are no other makers that has this price for all the hard armour?

Cheers

Unless that is Jeff on Etsy, then I'd say that this is a recast of his stuff. The knees are a dead giveaway. And they're his old spec ones.

I'd avoid and find another seller, or go to Jeff direct.

NO armor is "501st approved".

It sends up a red flag to me when a seller uses that particular phrase.

There are however several makers whose armor has been consistently approved when finished to the standard set for in the costume reference library.

A better way to think about it is "Approvable".

I agree, it looks like recast SC armor.

No, Jeff is the owner/creator of Studio Creations armour of which this looks to be identical (to his older stuff).

So unless this chap is Jeff himself, then this armour is likely to be a recast and probably avoided.

Jeff is a good chap and ripping off his armour is a poor show indeed.

You beat me to this comment.

Any time someone says 501st approved we all get the same feeling as when someone runs fingernails down a chalkboard.
