Kodiak Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 I am 6'1 and close to 300 lbs (put on 20 lbs since I broke my leg last year). Anyway I am trying to get that weight off but even if I get back down to 275...I still have a big frame. What armor is best for someone like me? I have heard 850 is cut bigger and someone told me KB Props had a kit that will fit a 6'2 person that is 265 no problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as far as size and quality of the armor and pros and cons. I really haven't seen much about KB but know many people that have 850.
Work Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 I'm not super familiar with KB's kit, but if you've had people vouch for it that may be the way to go. Jim Tripon's kit can be modded for bigger guys but the shins pretty much need to be replaced. They're pretty tiny. No matter what kit you get you're probably going to have to do a bit of modifying.
Dmorja Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Take a look at Spikes link. I'm 6'2 and well over 300. His armor fits good and looks terrific.
Stroker Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 ST kits gents....I posted a link to spikes thread earlier today... 2
Kodiak Posted May 13, 2017 Author Posted May 13, 2017 That link is for the Biker Scout. Does he have a link to where I can see his Shoretrooper armor? Also is it ABS or fiberglass? I am trying to gather as much info as possible on the various kits to see what is going to be best for me.
