RLH2515
Ok so how many of y'all left the laces in when you glued the toe piece on ? I want to see how many leave it and how many remove it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Retrofire
I left about half my laces in to keep the boot secure below my ankle. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
RLH2515
So just lace em up from where you do the toe piece up to the top of your boot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
TB-1599
All of my laces are still in...
RLH2515
I was told it's personal preference. But you should get the boot kinda fitted before glue comes in play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Shada
I put in flat laces (more sneaker-style than boot) with a toggle, as in Panda's thread - works well Shada TB-27138
stasz
I left mine in, but ripped out the speed lace hooks and loosely knotted them. After heating and stretching the vinyl you could definitely see the outline but now that my boys have been trooped in for a couple years it's barely noticeable. Boots were brand spankin new here:
Bucknife
Took laces out. Got a half size bigger and tucked the tongue into the boot. Working out great. Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
gmrhodes13
I removed the laces and replaced with flat elastic
Dragon_a
I left my laces in but didn't tighten them. After a couple of troops I've found that the dog bone has started to stretch upwards slightly, I'm assuming because they were all that held my foot in the boot as I walked. Since then I've now put a plastic toggle on the laces too, it takes the strain off the vinyl nicely.
M.J
Over 50 Troops and I still have my laces. just depends on the boot and the person.
