I've been searching and high and low.. Does anyone think it's possible to buy/mod vinyl (faux-leather) gloves that could be 501 approved? Does anyone have gloves that aren't leather? Thanks!

I suppose it's possible to have them approved but I have never heard of anyone making them. They would probably have to be custom made.

I'm not sure you'd be able to find a pre-existing glove on the market close enough to the Scout glove to mod. We probably would have discovered it already!

You may want to contact Wampa Wear or Sith Armory and see if they can do a special order for you. I'm assuming you are doing this for ethical reasons and not to save money?

Just saw a Facebook Post of Wampa Wear with a Picture of faux leather gloves they made as a special order. So it seems like they do such special Orders!

If you find a pair I would be very interested to see some Pictures and how they compare to leather.

I can't see why not. A lot of costumes allow faux leather. Including the Scout. We allow faux suede for the thigh patches and the boots are made from vinyl even though the screen ones were leather. For Basic, appearance is more important than material

Azman with WW contacted me about vinyl gloves. If they look the part, you'll have no problems.

Here are the images I received from Az at WW on the gloves. I suggested he add a faux suede-like material to the fingers.
