garry411 Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Silly paranoid question, but is 6ft6 too tall for a Scout Trooper? I think I should be OK, but want to get some opinions first before I place a couple of orders.
Stroker Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Nope never! I'm a little over 6'5" and have no problems. There's a 6'8" scout around here somewhere. Scout armour is forgiving. No matter what vendor you go with you shouldn't have a problem with the hard parts. 2
kayelbe Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Oh, but why waste that height on a Scout? If I was 6'5", I'd definitely do a Vader! At 5'9", even lifts in my shoes won't cut it. But, yeah, what Tim said. 3
plushie Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 VADER! VADER! VADER! Ahem. Chiming in with tall scouts are great! Hubby, TB-5794 is over 6' tall. The kits are totally forgiving on height/size. 2
locokarma Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 6'3" here... so as the consensus stated ... no, that's not too tall :-) 2

BikerScout007 Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 The only time that may be a problem is if you were doing some LFL troop where they wanted screen accurate characters. But I gotta chime in with the rest here, if I had that height I would be going for Vader or Chewie! 2

BikerScout007 Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Hmm we may be talking about different things here. Disney/LFL has special high profile events that they literally cast for. If you are interested in participating in one you have to go to them to get put into their database. Height and weight are things they factor in and they would never allow a Scout who was the same height as a Vader. But you are talking probably .001% of all troops so it wouldn't affect most of us

So I shot my pictures in and was cleared for it and future events. In the end I could care less what they think.
BikerScout007 Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Like I said, it doesnt matter for 99.999% of the troops out there and there are plenty of times I troop with Vaders who are shorter than me. I just stoop down a little bit when taking pics with them
Stroker Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Totally. Most troopers in my Garrison are tall. Our Vader is 6'7" outta costume I'm just about 6'6" outta costume and along with Tracy and a couple of more. We're all over 6' tall. 1
garry411 Posted May 5, 2017 Author Posted May 5, 2017 Thanks for all the replies. I have started researching a Vader, but I think that'll be a longer longer term build. You've put my mind at rest that I won't look completely out of place, so I'll make a start!! 2
